In need of a new disc. Any insight would be great.
High School--most guys on team throw around 120.

Thank you

Find a discus with an approximate rim weight of about 70-75%. As they get better and put spin on the discus move up the rim weight. You might want to stay out of the 90%'s until you see some BIG distances.

IMO, unless you are truly a n00b, rim-weights in the 70's are a waste of money.

If you can throw 130+ with a 70%, you can easily throw 150+ on the first throw of an 80%+ discus due to the better, more solid feel, and better flight characteristics.

I'm just talking from personal experience.  The jump from an Obol 70% to a Saturn Pacer II in the lower 80%'s changed my throwing BIG time.  I wish I would have done it a LOT sooner than sectionals Senior year.  We were a private school with $0 funding.  I had to buy the Obol myself, and borrow the Saturn from a competitor who didn't make Regionals.  This was ten years ago.

I just bought a Stackhouse Indra, by the way.  93% rim weight.

I have been throwing an OTE VHM 85%..
