Last year I retired and moved to Puerto Aventuras, Mexico which is about one hour south of Cancun. The local school has never had a track and field program and this year I was appointed the head track and field coach. I have no supplies, no equipment, no uniforms, no track and no money in the budget and I am expected to have a team ready for competition in the spring. Sounds familiar to a lot of you. Does anyone know of any organizations that would be willing to donate used equipment? I have contacted several organizations - USATF, USOC, Nike, Hershey's, to name a few - with mixed results. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
